Family Law Services
Divorce & Paternity Cases
I provide representation for divorce and paternity cases. During your consultation, we will discuss the applicable laws, the process, and the expectations for everyone involved or considering the dissolution proceeding or paternity matter. I represent clients in contested and uncontested matters.
Parental Allocation Responsibilities
Formerly called custody, parental allocation responsibility rulings determine the best allocation of decision-making and parenting time for individuals. I work with our clients to help them understand the current law, current trends in parenting time schedules, and their available options. My goal is to help you find the solution that best fits the needs of your child and family.

Maintenance
Formerly known as alimony, maintenance is support paid by one spouse to the other following a divorce. If you have questions about maintenance, I will help you. This determines if you are eligible to receive support or may have an obligation to pay support to your ex-spouse.
Child Support
There are many factors which play into child support, such as parents’ incomes, parenting time schedules, health insurance coverage, and more. If you are looking to set or modify child support, I will provide you with an explanation of the current statute and considerations by the court in calculating the appropriate support amount. The State of Illinois provides an estimator to give some insight into child support amounts (View here). Estimator is provided for informational purposes only and shall not be relied upon as legal advice.
Mediation
When you choose this firm for mediation services, you will work with a neutral third party to help both parties reach a mutual agreement on unresolved issues. Mediation can help both parties achieve more satisfactory results in their case and resolve issues without litigation. We offer voluntary mediation and court-appointed mediation services.
Guardian ad Litem & Child Representative
To assist in the determination of the best interests for children, Ms. Anderson serves as court-appointed Guardian ad Litem or Child Representatives. Ms. Anderson has been an approved child representative or Guardian ad Litem since 2009. In this role, she meets with parents and children and provides information to the court about what is in the best interest of a child.
Limited Scope Representative
Not every case requires the same amount of legal representation. If you need help drafting documents or assistance with a short-term matter, please contact me to discuss options for Limited Scope Representation.
Post Decree Order Enforcement (Contempt)
At times court orders are not followed and you may need assistance compelling your ex to pay more money due to you or to follow your parenting time schedule. During your consultation, I will review with you your prior order and discuss with you options to enforce your order or defend against an ex’s petition.
When you choose our firm, we will take the time to get to know you, your situation, and your needs. To schedule your free consultation, please contact us today at 847-336-7373
